Dr. Turke has always had a passion for improving people’s confidence through enhancing their smiles. He really enjoys helping children, teenagers and adults build up their self-esteem through the help of braces and orthodontics.
Dr. Turke was born in and grew up in South Miami. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He went to New York for further studies and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1985, with honors, and completed his orthodontic specialty training there in 1989.
Dr. Turke practiced general family dentistry for 5 years in New York City before specializing in the field of orthodontics. Upon receiving his doctorate from NY University, he married and moved back to Florida – mostly for the fishing! – but also to start their family and to establish his new orthodontics office in 1991.
Dr. Turke is board-qualified in orthodontics by the American Association of Orthodontists, where he is an active member. He is also an active member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Association, and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations.
Dr. Turke is on faculty as an Orthodontic Instructor for the Suncoast Community Health Center Pediatric Dental Residency program in Brandon, FL. Dr. Turke teaches orthodontics and supervises eight full-time Pediatric Dental Specialists participating in a two-year residency program.
Dr. Turke is a member of Idle wild Baptist Church located in Tampa. He is also involved in mission projects. He frequently joins with dentists and physicians on medical and dental mission trips to Mexico and Myanmar (formerly Burma).
